Engaging in homosexual activity is a sin according to the scriptures (I have a God given right to express that thought). Preventing prayer in School or anyplace for that matter is a sin (I have a God given right to express that thought). A bunch of Christians getting together at a park to talk about Jesus Christ and enjoy a bunch of water and hamburgers their first amendment right. A bunch of homosexuals getting together at a park to talk about diversity is their first amendment right.
Christians/groups that may not agree with a certain lifestyle have no business attempting to revoke a God given right that government was instituted to protect. In fact, if there is free fruit punch I might just attend this event, and I might be a better person because of it, who knows? I personally don't think Jesus would have a problem going to talk with his brothers and sisters...why should we?
Now, if the city is utilizing tax dollars to support this then they have overstepped their bounds. I am not aware if they are, but the first amendment should be honored and protected AT ALL COSTS. These rights come from God.

White Horse Prophecy
The Text of the White Horse Prophecy
Edwin Rushton claims that in 1843 he was with the Prophet Joseph Smith and Theodore Turley when the Prophet gave what has become known as the White Horse Prophecy. When Rushton was of advanced age and in the interest of preserving history he wrote down his recollections of the 1843 prophecy. There is no real evidence that Theodore Turley was part of this recollection as he died in 1872 apparently well before the story was recorded. Several copies from different individuals who recorded Rushton’s report of the White Horse Prophecy for their own use are held in the Church Historian’s Office. They reportedly vary slightly in a few words but are remarkably consistent in content.12 The most often used source is the diary of John Roberts of Paradise, Utah. A version in his own hand and signed by him is available in the Church History Library in microfilm form.13 Roberts apparently entered it into his diary on Sunday, March 2, 1902 after returning, on February 4, 1902, from a mission to Samoa. He reported receiving it from Robert Pierce (sometimes incorrectly noted as Pace) on Friday, February 28, 1902.
Don L. Penrod has a persuasive article related to the dating of the source found in the Roberts diary. He argues that it was at least 1890 and likely after 1900 that Rushton recorded his recollections. This was 50+ years after the event allegedly occurred.14
The following is from the journal of John J. Roberts, Paradise, Utah. It is readily available from several websites on the internet, none of which report a source for their copy other than the unpublished diary. The connection between John J. Roberts and Edwin Rushton, who reported the conversation, is not clear.
The Roberts diary entry follows:
“On about the 6th of May, 1843, a Grand Review of the Nauvoo Legion was held in Nauvoo. The Prophet Joseph Smith complimented them for their good discipline and evolutions performed. The weather being hot, he called for a glass of water. With the glass of water in hand, he said: “I will drink to your toast to the overthrow of the Mobocrats,” which he did in the following language:
“Here’s wishing they were in the middle of the sea in a stone canoe with iron paddles and that a shark swallowed the canoe and the Devil swallowed the shark and himself locked up in the northwest corner of Hell, the key lost and a blind man hunting it.”
The next morning a man who heard the Prophet give the toast returned to visit the mansion of the Prophet and so abused him with bad language that he was ordered out by the Prophet. It was while the two were out that my attention was attracted to them, and hearing the man speaking in a loud tone of voice, I went towards them, the man finally leaving. There were then present the Prophet, Theodore Turley and myself [Edwin Rushton]. The Prophet began talking to us of the mobbings and deriding and persecutions we as a people had endured, “but we will have worse things to see. Our persecutors will have all the mobbings they want. Don’t wish them any harm, for when you see their sufferings you will shed bitter tears for them.”
While this conversation was going on we stood by his south wicket gate in a triangle. Turning to me, he said, “I want to tell you something of the future. I will speak in a parable like unto John the Revelator. You will go to the Rocky Mountains and you will be a great and mighty people established there, which I will call the White Horse of peace and safety.” When the Prophet said, “You will see it,” I said, “Where will you be at that time?” He said, “I shall never go there. Your enemies will continue to follow you with persecutions and they will make obnoxious laws against you in Congress to destroy the White Horse, but you will have a friend or two to defend you and throw out the worst parts of the law so they will not hurt you so much. You must continue to petition Congress all the time, but they will treat you like strangers and aliens and they will not give you your rights, but will govern you with strangers and commissioners. You will see the Constitution of the United States almost destroyed. It will hang like a thread as fine as a silk fiber.” At that time the Prophet’s countenance became sad, because as he said, “I love the Constitution; it was made by the inspiration of God; and it will be preserved and saved by the efforts of the White Horse, and by the Red Horse who will combine in its defense. The White Horse will find the mountains full of minerals and they will become rich (at this time, it must be remembered, the precious metals were not known to exist in either the Rocky Mountains or California). You will see silver piled up in the streets. You will see the gold shoveled up like sand. Gold will be of little value then, even in a mercantile capacity; for the people of the world will have something else to do in seeking for salvation. The time will come when the banks of every nation will fall and only two places will be safe where people can deposit their gold and treasure. This place will be the White Horse and England’s vaults. A terrible revolution will take place in the land of America, such as has never been seen before; for the land will be left without a Supreme Government, and every specie of wickedness will be practiced rampantly in the land. Father will be against son and son against father; mother against daughter and daughter against mother. The most terrible scenes of bloodshed, murder and rape that have ever been imagined or looked upon will take place. People will be taken from the earth and there will be peace and love only in the Rocky Mountains. This will cause many hundreds of thousands of the honest in heart of the world to gather there, not because they would be Saints, but for safety and because they will be so numerous that you will be in danger of famine, but not for want of seed, time and harvest, but because of so many to be fed. Many will come with bundles under their arms to escape the calamities for there will be no escape except only by escaping and fleeing to Zion. Those that come to you will try to keep the laws and be one with you for they will see your unity and the greatness of your organization. The Turkish Empire of the Crescent will be the first power to be disputed, for freedom must be given for the Gospel to be preached in the Holy Land. The Lord took of the best blood of the nations and planted them on the small islands now called England and Great Britain and gave them power in the nations for a thousand years and their power will continue with them that they may keep the balance of power; and they will keep Russia from sweeping her power over the world. England and France are now bitter enemies but they will be allied together and be united to keep Russia from conquering the world. The two popes, Greek and Catholic, will eventually come together in their decline and be united. The Protestant Religions do not know how much they are indebted to Henry VIII for throwing off the Pope’s bill and establishing the Protestant faith. He was the only monarch who could do so at that time and he did it because the nation was at his back to sustain him. One of the peculiar features in England is the established Red-coat; a uniform making so remarkable a target to shoot at, and yet they have conquered wherever they have gone. The reason for this will be known to them some day as red is seen in a different color threading through under all history. The lion and the unicorn of England comes from there being so much blood of Israel in the nation. While the terrible things of which I have mentioned are going on, England will be neutral until it becomes so inhuman that she will interfere to stop the shedding of blood and history will be more properly understood. England and France will unite together to make peace, not to subdue the nations. She will find this nation so broken up and so many claiming government, till there will be no reasonable government. Then it will appear to the other nations, or powers, as though England had taken possession of the country. The Black Horse will flee to the invaders and will join them for they have fear of becoming slaves again; knowing that England did not believe in slavery, they will flee to them that they believe will make them safe. Armed with British bayonets, the doings of the Black Horse will be terrible.” Here the Prophet said that he could not bear to look longer upon the scenes as shown to him in vision and he asked the Lord to close the scenes.
Continuing, he said: “During this time the Great White Horse will have gathered strength, sending out elders to gather the honest in heart from among the Pale Horse, or people of the United States, to stand by the Constitution of the United States as it was given by the inspiration of God. In these days which are yet to come God will set up a Kingdom never to be thrown down, but other Kingdoms to come into it, and those Kingdoms that will not let the Gospel be preached in their lands will be humbled until they will.”
“England the Germany, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Holland and Belgium have a considerable amount of the blood of Israel among the people which must be gathered out. Those nations will submit to the nations of God. England will be the last of the nations to surrender, but when she does she will do it as a whole in comparison as she threw off the Catholic power. The nobility knows that the gospel is true, but it has not pomp enough, and grandeur and influence for them to yet embrace it. They are proud and will not acknowledge the Kingdom of God or come into it until they see the power it will have. Peace and safety in the Rocky Mountains will be protected by the Guardians, the White and Red Horses. The coming of the Messiah among his people will be so natural that only those who see him will know that he has come, but he will come and give his laws unto Zion and minister unto his people. This will not be his coming in the clouds of Heaven to take vengeance on the wicked of the world.”
“The temple in Jackson county, Missouri, will be built in that generation. The saints will think that there will not be time to build it, but with all the help you can receive, you can put up a great temple quickly. You will have all the gold, silver and precious stones you need, for these things will only be for the beautifying of the temple. Also, all the skilled mechanics you want and the Ten Tribes of Israel will help build it. When you see this land bound with iron, you may look forward to Jackson county.”
At this point, he made a pause, and looking up as though the vision were still in view, he said: “There is a land beyond the Rocky Mountains that will be invaded by the heathen Chinese unless great care and protection be given.” Speaking of the heathen nations, he said: “Where there is no law there is no condemnation; this will apply to them. Power will be given to the White Horse to rebuke the nations afar off, and you obey it, for the laws go forth from Zion. The last great struggle that Zion will ever have to contend with will be when the whole of America will be made the Zion of God. Those opposing will be called Gog and Magog. The nations of the earth will be led by the Russian Czar and his power will be great, but all opposition will be overcome and this land will be the Zion of our God. Amen.”

Rebuke to City Officials and Plea to Tea Party Participants

Dear All,
1. Green Way - If this passes, and these ignorants forcibly try take this property away, from our fellow citizens who oppose the idea, our entire political structure has been compromised. The founders taught that the "pursuit of happiness" found in the Declaration of Independence was to mean/include: 1.Money that we earned and 2. Property we accumulated. So why are they talking about TAKING this property again? For the betterment of society? Sounds like socialism to me.
2. Just by virtue of them having salary raises to be addressed is horrific, and, if it should pass we know we have been the victims of subversion by a bunch of power hungry tyrants. It just goes to show that all of these entitlements (e.g. high wages, healthcare benefits) are only a by-product of corrupt individuals creating careers for themselves.
3. My vote is a vote of no confidence in ALL of our city officials (starting with the ignorant mayor who was put in by the dirt bag Steve Brown and his cronies) and create for ourselves a new government in Pocatello Idaho.
I ask you: where are the constitutional principles in our city? Where are the wise men of Pocatello? Why have we forgotten history? These ignorants are only assisting the economic disaster and erosion of our freedoms!!! And seriously, what does Mr. Blad do for $74,268.48 that someone else can't do for 30,000.00 who actually loves Pocatello?
These local officials are pathetic. We are subjects of a local bureaucracy and because NO ONE that I know of that sits on that counsel is raising a warning voice to the public, THEY ALL MUST GO!
p.s. Steve Brown, I don't think I have ever met a more dirty filthy person in my life, and remember, I have supervised inmates in Florida and Idaho for almost 6 years. You should step down quietly. Oh, and leave the church, you make Mormons look bad. You and others (e.g.Steve Hadley) aspire for more and more power using the church as a political engine to drive you into the elections. Your politics stand at the antithesis of LDS doctrine and the prophets. So seriously, give up one or the other. You have the "the intellect of an ant and the understanding of a clod of miry clay in a primordial swamp."
This is NOT a happy 4th of July! Why? Because there isn't a single person that I know in government that understands what the hell it is!!!!!!!!!! I have no respect for individuals like you who when elected think they become dictators, as if those that voted to put you in office are all of the sudden your subordinates to do with what you please. The principles of the Constitution are not up for discussion because they draw from God given rights. My little brother, Alan, should not have stepped down and afforded you the opportunity to win. I have been watching you and hearing stories and you have blatantly crossed the line. I'm not sure you understand the gravity of your actions. I would urge you and your councilman start a community study of the founding principles of this country. Get the entire community involved. All leadership needs to be present. I want you to listen very carefully now as I read to you from an official government report. Can you imagine this kind of an official government report coming out and having it absolutely ignored by the Congress, the American people, the President and practically everybody else? Now listen to this:
1. The Soviet international organization has carried on a successful and important penetration of the United States Government and this penetration has not been fully exposed.
2. This penetration has extended from the lower ranks to top-level policy and operating positions in our Government. (This means the White House, the State Department, and the Department of Justice, etc.)
3. The agents of this penetration have operated in accordance with a distinct design fashioned by their Soviet superiors.
4. Members of this conspiracy helped to get each other into Government, helped each other to rise in Government and protected each other from exposure.
5. The general pattern of this penetration was first into agencies concerned with economic recovery, then to war-making agencies, then to agencies concerned with foreign policy and postwar planning, but always moving to the focal point of national concern.
6. In general, the Communists who infiltrated our Government worked behind the scenes -- guiding research and preparing memoranda on which basic American policies were set, writing speeches for Cabinet officers, influencing congressional investigations, drafting laws, manipulating administrative reorganizations -- always serving the interest of their Soviet superiors.
7. Thousands of diplomatic, political, military, scientific, and economic secrets of the United States have been stolen by Soviet agents in our Government and by other persons closely connected with the Communists.
8. FDA Evil
Covert, year-long sting operations.
Early morning raids.
Relentless interrogation and harassment.
Are these the aggressive actions of the federal government against suspects in the war on terror?
No. These describe the tactics of the Food and Drug Administration against everyday Americans like Amish farmer Dan Allgyer.
And now this farmer, his family, and his community don't know if their way of life will survive the statists' wrath.
What "crime" is the FDA finding him guilty of?
"Providing unpasteurized milk from healthy, grass-fed cows across state lines to members of cooperatives seeking unprocessed food."
These busybodies are misinterpreting the commerce clause to cite Allgyer's violation. Originally, this clause was intended to prevent states from prohibiting individuals from doing business with one another across state lines.
In other words, the federal food authorities are doing the exact opposite of their constitutional mandate and acting as out of control as the Federal Reserve and our "leaders" in Congress.
The FDA will cite "food safety" concerns to justify its actions, but you and I know the truth about its continued war against local food producers:
It's about helping out their Big-Ag buddies.
It's about control over you, your family, and your choices.
Well I don't know about you, but I've certainly had enough of these bureaucrats destroying the livelihoods of these hard-working Americans.
Please, call your representative and senators today to urge them to rein in the reckless FDA by stopping it from interfering with voluntary, private contracts between farmers and private citizens.
Also, send a message directly to the FDA by contacting themhere.
Tell them to stop wasting your tax dollars on raids and spying operations on peaceful Amish farmers and members of private food groups.
Tell them to end their unjust civil suit against Amish farmer Dan Allgyer.
Tell them to do something more productive with their time.
The FDA has conducted many sting operations and raids against US farmers over the years, with this year-and-a-half long sting on the buying club connected to Allgyer only the most recent.
And now the food police are filing a civil suit against this Amish farmer for introducing into "interstate commerce" raw milk intended for human consumption and are giving him notice of a pending request for permanent injunction.
It is an obscene overreach of federal authority to try and shut down the private transactions between honest farmers and their willing consumers.
That's why each day more and more concerned activists like you are taking a stand against these brazen actions.
Earlier this month, hundreds of concerned citizens attended a rally in support of Allgyer and local food production.
When the government can tell you what you can eat, it can tell you who you are.
You and I must make our voices heard.

Tell them to stop wasting your tax dollars on raids and spying operations on peaceful Amish farmers and members of private food groups.
Tell them to end their unjust civil suit against Amish farmer Dan Allgyer.
Tell them to do something more productive with their time.
The FDA has conducted many sting operations and raids against US farmers over the years, with this year-and-a-half long sting on the buying club connected to Allgyer only the most recent.
And now the food police are filing a civil suit against this Amish farmer for introducing into "interstate commerce" raw milk intended for human consumption and are giving him notice of a pending request for permanent injunction.
It is an obscene overreach of federal authority to try and shut down the private transactions between honest farmers and their willing consumers.
That's why each day more and more concerned activists like you are taking a stand against these brazen actions.
Earlier this month, hundreds of concerned citizens attended a rally in support of Allgyer and local food production.
When the government can tell you what you can eat, it can tell you who you are.
You and I must make our voices heard.

If we do not accept the existence of a Supreme Being; that God is the source of moral law, what more do we have to offer than Marx? On what basis can we morally resist tyranny?
I say to you with all the fervor of my soul that God intended men to be free. Rebellion against tyranny is a righteous cause. It is an enormous evil for any man to be enslaved to any system contrary to his own will. For that reason men, 200 years ago, pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor.
No nation which has kept the commandments of God has ever perished, but I say to you that once freedom is lost, only blood - human blood - will win it back.
Freedom is an eternal, God-given principle. There is no genuine happiness without freedom, nor is there any security or peace without freedom. After traveling in practically all of the free countries of the world and several times behind the Iron Curtain, I say that Marxism is the greatest evil in this world and the greatest threat to all we hold dear.
Of all sad things in the world, the saddest is to see a people who have once known liberty and freedom and then lost it.
